Like self-aligning ball bearings, self-aligning roller bearings also have self-alignment, but due to the large contact surface between the roller and the raceway surface, its friction capacity is much higher than that of self-aligning ball bearings. Since spherical roller bearings also have greater frictional resistance during rotation, the limit speed of this type of bearing is lower than that of ball bearings, but it is different from the line contact between the roller and the raceway in tapered roller bearings. The speed is higher than that of tapered roller bearings.
